Born to the British Aristocracy, Emily grew up never wanting for anything. Unlike the majority of spoilt children in her neighbourhood, Emily had a thirst for knowledge and a knack for getting information. Her father Clive, proud of his daughter's intelligence and sharp intellect provided her with anything her mind thirsted for. History quickly became a passion of the highly intelligent child, and she immersed herself in the studies of her homeland. She believes that studying the past gives her great insight into how people today think, and with that in mind she fully immersed herself in her studies.

Through her inate ability to coax whatever she wanted out of her family, she took up fencing as well as other more robust, unladylike behaviours, which were tolerated so long as she did not embarass the family name. From an early age, she knew she wanted to get into the Intelligence Service, as her mother before her had done. Unfortunately, there was not much call for historical studies in MI6. Her quick intelligence lead her to be bumped up through levels of school, so at the early age of 15 she began her first college degree in Anglo-Saxon, Nord and Celtic; then moving on to Political Studies.
Typical British dry wit, sensuous and very intellectual. She is the ultimate professional, completing her assignments regardless of the cost. She is also a very strong patriot, and though she is now under the IOA and USAF; she still considers herself an operative for Her Royal Highness and behaves accordingly.

MI6 Operations Officer

Upon the completion of her MPhil in Political Thought And Intellectual History, Emily applied for a position in the Secret Intelligence Service, or more commonly known MI6. Her mother had been a Case Officer working throughout Western Europe, Canada and the US. Her years of fencing, as well as other physical exercises had put her in good stead when her training began with MI6. 7 months after her application, Emily was welcomed into the folds of MI6 and began her training as a Case Operative.

Early on in Emily's training, her handlers found that she had a natural skill at espionage and counter-intelligence. After cutting her teeth on a few domestic cases, she was soon sent oversees. Putting her political studies to use, she was in a good position to use her knowledge and her wits to gather information abroad.

In the beginning, she was primarily stationed in Washington, and then later in France, Germany and Slovakia. Primarily, her directive was to gather information, however often it was of that sensitive a nature that the destruction of said information was required. After 8 successful years in MI6, she was approached by Her Majesty's Government about a top secret operation in Colorado Springs. Having buried her parents three years previously, she packed her bags and joined the Stargate Program.

Emily was introduced to a team of spooks, both American and British that would go offworld and live in Goa'uld colonies gathering information about their greatest enemy. With the destruction of the System Lords, Emily felt that she was beginning to be obsolete. She heard about a mission to an Ancient Outpost and jumped at the chance for a new challenge.
